Trip Details:
Get out into the Montana backcountry on this guided hike and relaxing packrafting tour! Choose from one of many hikes that follows the magnificent glacial canyons deep in the Bitterroot National Forest. Along the trail, your guide will identify local plants and animals and talk about the natural history of the Bitterroot! An alpine lake waits at our destination, where you’ll inflate your packrafts and hit the water. Take a backpacking-style lunch (plus coffee/tea) provided by your guide before lacing up your boots once more and returning to the trailhead.
Expect a moderate amount of elevation gain, (at least 1000 ft), 6 - 8 miles of hiking, occasional obstacles like fallen trees and creeks to cross along the way. Your feet may get wet!
The weather is tough to predict and conditions will vary from the forecast. Bring warm layers and rain jackets/ponchos!
