Day Hiking

- Hiking Boots/Shoes or Athletic Shoes
- Hiking Pants (synthetic is preferred but jeans are a classic Montana move.)
- Hiking Socks
- Rain Jacket
- Sunglasses
- Sun Hat
- Sunscreen and Lip Balm (lips get sunburnt too!)
- Water Filter or hydration bladder with filter (we will have one to share.)
- Hand Sanitizer

Synthetic, wool, and microfiber are all great materials for warm and lightweight base layers.

Backpacking Trip
The best approach to minimizing unnecessary gear, but maximizing comfort is to bring two sets of clothing. One for hiking and one for relaxing in around camp/sleeping in!
