Bring these things with you!

You'll bring your own clothing, some water, some sunscreen, and some sanitary products. The rest is up to us!

Synthetic materials are recommended. Wool is recommended too, but can be too hot in the summer. Microfibers are also recommended.

Day Trip

- Warm Jacket or sweatshirt
- Hiking Boots/Shoes or Athletic Shoes
- Hiking Pants (synthetic is preferred but jeans are a classic Montana move.)
- Hiking Socks
- Rain Jacket
- Sunglasses

- Sunscreen and Lip Sunscreen
- Water Bottles - empty plastic bottles are great. Reusable bottles can be heavy.
- Hand Sanitizer / Sanitary Wipes
- Toilet Paper

Backpacking Trip

The best approach to minimizing unnecessary gear, but maximizing comfort is to bring two sets of clothing. One for hiking and one for relaxing in around camp/sleeping in!

- Light Gloves (Spring/Fall)
- Warm Hat / Wool Hat
- Hiking Boots/Shoes or Athletic Shoes
- Hiking Pants
- Hiking Socks *3 sets is desireable*
- Rain Jacket (rain pants optional)
- Insulated Jacket
- Sunglasses
- Sun Hat / Brimmed Hat
- Sunscreen and Lip Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- Water Bottles - empty plastic bottles are great. Reusable bottles can be heavy.
- Hand Sanitizer
- Baby Wipes
- Toilet Paper (We provide, but you can bring your preferred!)
- Personal Entertainment such as a puzzle, game, camp activity.
- Book & Journal

Synthetic, wool, and microfiber are all great materials for warm and lightweight base layers.
