More Details About This Trip:

Immediately after booking a trip with Bitterroot Backpacking, Luke Hayduk, expert guide, will reach out to plan your ideal winter adventure with you and your group!

Most routes are 3 - 7 mi round trip with some elevation gain, 500 - 1500 ft. Expect the trails to be snowy, icy, rocky, in fairly good condition, and with occasional obstacles like fallen trees and snowmelt puddles to cross along the way. Your feet may get wet!

- Garmin GPS communicator

- Other necessities

We encourage hikers to book rain, shine, or snow! The weather can sometimes be tough to predict, and conditions will vary from the forecast. We generally experience temperatures between 10 F and 30 F when hiking in mid winter. Oct 21st Update: Sunny and daily highs in the 50's! Your expert guide is Wilderness First Responder Certified, Leave No Trace Certified, and Food-Handler Certified.

All tours require a two ticket minimum. Solo travelers are welcome to book their own trip or request to join another trip!

Every trip is operated in accordance with Montana Outfitting and Guiding laws with proper licenses, permits, and insurance.

Cancellation Policy

Winter Adventures can be cancelled within 24 hrs and/or up until 72 hrs before the start of a trip for a full refund. Trips are non-refundable after those points.
